"Cosmic Coco, Singing for a Billion Imu's Hearty Pi" OORUTAICHI
|
format:CD catalog#:KBS-DDCO-1012 Sononi |
Highly anticipated new album by Oorutaichi. One of Japan's most talented and unique electronica artists. Includes remixes by EYE of Boredoms and Daedelus of Ninja Tune. Oorutaichi has been making music since 1999 and is also the founding member of the wonderful bizarre folk band Urichipangoon. Oorutaichi's music covers all sorts of musical spectrums and on his latest solo outing sounds something like if Animal Collective joined forces with Bjork, MGMT and Four Tet to produce an album of floor stomping dance tunes. And yes it's every bit as wonderful and brilliant as that potentially sounds. The album is featuring 2 bonus track remixes from Eye of the Boredoms and Daedelus. - Begone Dull Care 1. Tiger Melt 2. Futurelina -album version- 3. Shiny Foot Square Dance 4. Coco feat. OLAibi 5. Vofaguela 6. Sononi 7. Merry Ether Party 8. Venus 9. Linking Pi 10. Permanent Candy 11. Futurelina EYE Remix 12. "Futurelina / Moeru Himitsu feat. Kicell" OORUTAICHI
|
format:12" catalog#:OOD12-CCCD-003 Moeru Himitsu feat. Kicell |
Oorutaichi's first release in three years. It is the leading single from his forthcoming new album, which is scheduled for release in November. It is a double-track single which includes "Futurelina" and "Moeru Himitsu featuring Kicell". "Futurelina" is an up-tempo electronic tune and a regular repertoire at his shows. "Moeru Himitsu feat. Kicell" is a song in which pop duo Kicell renders their vocals on top of Oorutaichi's track, sounding like a 21st-century folk song with its combination of programmed and real instruments. (Moeru Himitsu means "Burning Secret") Kicell is one of the most popular young singer duos in Japan. links: --> OORUTAICHI on MySpace Music

"Bedroom Recording has become synonymous with lonesome black holes, fetishized telephone receiver microphones and the local dog. Despite the generous spoonfulls of audio verite, the missing element is LIFE. Miyazaki Takashi has life in abundance: creating music that affirms the joy of being and doing. He makes music that moves me out of my seat and want to create as well. As good as it gets." Jim O'Rourke
